Klong Khong Beach, Koh Lanta: Laid-Back and Budget-Friendly

Klong Khong is the island's laid-back budget beach: a narrower stretch of sand lined with simple bungalows, beach bars and small guesthouses, with a friendly, slightly hippie atmosphere and a lot of long-stay travellers. It sits between Long Beach to the north and Klong Nin to the south, so restaurants and nightlife are only a short ride away. A scooter makes life easier, though taxis and songthaews run along the main road.

It suits backpackers, budget travellers and anyone who values atmosphere over facilities. It is less suitable for young children or those who want long, calm swimming.
