A shared minivan is the most budget-friendly option and is easy to book online or through your accommodation; it typically involves being grouped with other travellers and a couple of drop-off stops before reaching your hotel. A private transfer or taxi costs more but goes directly to your accommodation, which is worth it if you're arriving late, travelling with a group, or just don't want to wait around for other passengers. During the road-plus-car-ferry route (more common outside the direct high-season ferry window), your transfer vehicle may drive most of the way and cross a short stretch of water by car ferry before continuing to your hotel.
